DIAGNOSTIC TOOLS
- With the 4-gas Monitor you get measurements of oxygen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and hydrocarbon content of a vehicles emissions. The 5-gas Monitor gives you all that, plus it is considered ( repair grade 240, RG 240) equipment because it monitors Nitric Oxide(NOx) emissions. That is the additional gas measured during official I/M 240 testing. Vehicles with NOx limits outside the acceptable range will fail that or equally stringent tests. Both gas analyzers are designed for use with the new Enhanced Monitor 4000 scan tool. Operating software automatically identifies which analyzer is in use. Tachometer and temperature readings are now possible, with the use of the inductive RPM pickup and dipstick temperature probe. Both readings are critical for accurate emission measurements. Lambda valves and air-fuel ratios are also shown. The bargraph display updates emission values in less than a second, allowing fast detection of changes in engine operation. Both units run on either 12V or 120V power, making road testing possible. Multiple events can be recorded on road tests, creating a data record of up to 30 minutes for playback in the shop. Has a one second record rate. Both gas analyzers can be used with an optional display terminal and keyboard, plus the OTC printer for a permanent record of the readings.
